The Data Analysis discipline: Statistics, Computer Programming and Business

I’ve recently completed a MOOC course on Data Analysis, offered by John Hopkins University. The course was very challenging, but was definitely worth it. I feel I learned tons of things!

One of the things I appreciated the most, was how the Data Analysis discipline was introduced as well as how to plan (step by step) an actual analysis. In this video, the instructor Dr. Jeff Leek provides a clear explanation of what the discipline is about.

Data Analysis has 3 principal components:

1. Statistics

2. Computer Programming

3. and the specific area of Applications in business or science… enjoy it!
